Saturday 27th February - Rainow Romp

This morning, 17 runners met on Round Meadow in Rainow for a new route. After a quick warm up (it was freezing) we headed down towards Bollington to the Waterfall. We the ran up possibly one of the hardest hills in Bollington to the base of Nancy, down to the Redway and down Lord Street. With so much down, we knew we had to climb to get back to the cars, we went via Inglesey Vale, Savio House and then undulated down the bridal path back to Rainow.

There were a few familiar faces missing this morning as they were running the High Legh 10KM on Sunday. There were some fantastic PB's achieved and a few first timers in club vests. Well done everyone!

See you next week,

Abi, Jenny and Gemma :)

Saturday 20th February - Clough Bank

23 of us met at Clough bank for a lovely 4.5ish mile route taking in the canal, horse track, Neil's hill (by popular demand!!)  bottom of White Nancy, Waterfall, through the streets of Bollington then back to the start along the canal.  We were very lucky with the weather just catching a few spots of rain in the final stretch.  Coffee was at the Waterside for those able to make it.  Well run everyone! Welcome to Judith's friend Carol who was trying us out today & welcome back to those who've been suffering with bugs & injuries lately.  Lovely to see you out again.

Saturday 6th February - Buxton Road Loop with a twist

We were slightly down on numbers this morning due to Alsager 5 tomorrow, but 12 brave E groupers can out to enjoy the mud and the rain. We headed down the canal to Buxton Road, up the might mountain to the 'summit' (in the words of Sara Geary), along Ecton Avenue.

We hit a big mud/puddle patch but this only added to the fun. We ran along the top path, down Bibby's Lane, along to the Swan Pool, back along Higher Fence, added a little hill rep up Rainow Road in (muhahaha) and back to the cards.

There was lots of good looping back this morning and despite the rain, we all had a good run.

See you next week,

Abi, Dave and Jenny
